Having developed and taught dozens of high-impact online courses in his role as a college English instructor, in 2006 Ryan Hersha helped Young People For, a national leadership development program, build and deliver a breakthrough online learning system called the Progressive Academy Online. In its first full year (2007), the Academy enabled hundreds of students across the country to develop their capacities as leaders for change in the public, social, and ideas sectors, as well as to introduce them to people, organizations, networks, and other resources for their continued success.
